I love the look of ribbon on a Christmas tree, and if y'all do besides this tutorial is for you! Afterwards many years, I've finally found my favourite way to put ribbon on a Christmas tree to make information technology look natural, yet full. Let me bear witness you how.

I've used ii different widths of wired burlap ribbon to create a rustic glam feel on our Christmas tree this year.

There are a few tricks to making ribbon await natural and full on a Christmas tree:

Cut the ribbon to between 2 and 4 foot lengths before putting it on the tree
This makes it easier to manipulate and to make look more than random on the tree.
Tuck the end of the ribbon deep into the tree, loop it out, and and so tuck it dorsum in again
This gives the ribbon a total, natural await
Let the ribbon fall "where information technology wants to" - let it drape vertically or angle a little
Vary the lengths of your "loops" as you go down and around the tree
Use a couple of different widths of ribbon for more texture

Materials

four to eight spools of 2" - 4" wide wired ribbon

Instructions

Cutting the wired ribbon to betwixt 2 and four pes lengths
Tuck the end of the ribbon deep into the tree, loop it out, and and so tuck it back in once again
Allow the ribbon fall "where information technology wants to" – permit information technology drape vertically or bending a little
Vary the lengths of your "loops" as yous go downwardly and effectually the tree
Use a couple of dissimilar widths of ribbon for more texture
